Hotel design: the 3 lifestyle living

ITA.

ENG. Those who follow me already from the old blog will probably remember this project: yes, I’m gonna to describe it to you again, but I hope you understand that this is one of those jobs that makes me more proud, especially after learning that the hotel has been evaluated by the customers with as many as 8.9 stars on the Agoda website (the maximum are 10 stars). The hotel officially opened on 4 August 2017, and is located in the center of Hatyai city. The customer, Mr. Boonaek, had a very clear idea about the result he wanted to achieve: a minimalist interior, which focused more on functionality than aesthetics.

THAI.

ITA.

ITA. La reception vista dall’alto ENG. a reception view from the coworking space THAI. วิว Reception จากชั้น 1

ITA.

ENG. I clearly understand from the concept phase that the customer wants to focus on the first floor area where he want to develop the Coworking space. In fact, the lobby has been designed as a multifunctional space with differents areas and with differents furnitures: high tables for working, armchairs and coffee tables for those who just want to rest or eat some snacks take from the breakfast area, located right in front of the elevator, between the two functions.

THAI.

ITA. la zona relax con i tavolini da caffè e le poltroncine. in alto a sinistra si vede l’ascensore e il muro divisorio con le scale ENG. the relax area with coffee tables and armchairs. in the top on the left there is the lift and the wall that hide the stairs THAI.
ITA. la zona della colazione a buffet, dove i clienti possono servirsi liberamente ENG. the breakfast zone, where customers can serve by themself THAI. Breakfast area
ITA. accanto alla zona breakfast, ci sono i tavoli del coworking space, pensati come alti tavoli con sedute da bar, funzionali sia per chi vuole consumare velocemente un caffè consultando un cellulare, sia a chi vuole controllare la posta sul portatile ENG. next the breakfast area there are the coworking’s tables, thinking as high table with bar stools for who likes to take a fast coffee while checking the mails on the cellphone or on the notebook THAI.
ITA. dall’interno della zona breakfast, si può vedere un altro tavolo del coworking space che si affaccia sulla balaustra che dà sulla reception al piano di sotto, che si trova tra l’ascensore e l’area relax ENG. from the internal of the breakfast area, we can see another coworking space on the railing, from where is visible the reception

ITA.

ENG. Next the coworking area, there is a small meeting room, delimited by glasses screened with a graphic that let not see clearly who is inside, creating some privacy from guests’ outside, in the coworking space, and encouraging the concentration of who are using this room, big enough for a meeting of 8 people, equipped with a whiteboard and a projector, and with a big wall cabinet where documents and paper for the printer are keep neatly.

THAI.

ITA.

ENG. The concept develop for the guests’ rooms is to not isolate the bathroom from the sleeping area, because of the size of the room and for creating a “home” mood: we need to make customers feel comfortable as in their home.

So the sink is incorporate in the room area, and we divide only the WC and the shower, who are hidden behind a matt glass. In the sleeping zone of the room, we find the wood as the dominant texture, but it isn’t the main material: apart from the top of the work table, the floor is compose from wood’s rubber tiles, and the material on the headbed is a kind of sticker made from a Korean company, who wants to make an alternative to laminates as finishing for furnitures.

THAI.

camera type 1 con letto matrimoniale

ITA.

ENG. What you see above is the leaflet prepared for hotel guests. In fact, the customer pointed out that he wanted to show them all “hidden” features inside the rooms, especially what you see in the brochure is Types 1 and 2 (The rooms have different names but actually the only difference between the two is that they are simply mirroring each other).

The in-room air-conditioning is apparently the same as that of other hotels, but it actually hides an innovative system that allows you to connect several appliances to a few roof-mounted compressors, which allows you to have quiet rooms and no loud compressors on the balconies.

Another feature was to put in a light called “night light” to allow you to have a night light spot that allows you to get to the bathroom without having to turn on other lights and risk to waking your partner, and is also very useful for those who sleep with children who are afraid to sleep in the dark.

All sockets are of a universal type, and there are also USB sockets next to the bed so they can easily charge electronic devices. The bathroom is not a room, but is hidden behind the wall of the desk: it is not a closed and small place, but a space delimited only by the serigraphed glass door that divides the toilet and shower from the sink.

This is a piece of ceramic that protrudes from the wall, with wide spaces where you can rely on beauty cases and other beauty products. If you need more space, there are further 15 cm of shelf under the mirror. The toilet is designed to offer every comfort, in Japanese style: the seat is heated, the bidet is built-in and is controllable via the pushbutton to the right of the toilet, with which you can change the water jet force, the position and finally operate the ventilation system that allows to dry, after washing, without having to use toilet paper.

Finally, the shower uses an innovative system called “Air Bubble Shower” where water is ejected along with air jets, saving water while still having the impression of using the same amount of water as would be used compared to a normal shower, if not more. I leave you the explanatory video released by the company that produces these shower.

THAI.

ITA.

ENG. The other room types, types 3 and 4 (also here are two rooms that are mirrored one to the other), the type 5 and the S3 suite, reproduce the same functions as shown here, but in a slightly different way: below I leave some photos of the other rooms.
