Il punto d’interesse dell’ingresso | Entryway: the focal point | จุดเด่นของทางเข้า

ITA. Nello scorso post vi ho parlato degli elementi solitamente presenti nell’ingresso: un tavolino cosiddetto “console”, un appendiabiti, uno specchio, una seduta, una scarpiera. Ovviamente ad essi ci sono da tenere in considerazione altri elementi decorativi aggiuntivi, quali quadri, lampade, piante, vasi, candele, tappeti…

ENG. In the last post I talked about the elements usually present in the entrance: a console table, a hanger, a mirror, a shoe rack. Of course there are other decorative elements to consider, such as paintings frames, lamps, plants, vases, candles, carpets…

ITA. Per rendere il vostro ingresso più interessante, vi consiglio di scegliere uno di questi elementi e di farlo risaltare rispetto al resto: nell’immagine qui sopra ad esempio la prima cosa che salta all’occhio è lo specchio tondo con quella spessa cornice nera che contrasta con il grigio chiaro della parete su cui è posto.

Sicuramente anche le lampade giocano il loro ruolo, richiamando con il colore del bordo del paralume la cornice e con il corpo della lampada stessa l’effetto riflettente dello specchio, ma personalmente credo che esse siano state scelte in base allo specchio stesso. La stessa cosa vale per le sedute.

Perché la penso così? Perché se sostituiste lo specchio con un quadro con una spessa cornice nera, al cui interno sia riportata una foto in bianco e nero, senza cambiare nessuno degli altri elementi della scena, avreste un risultato molto simile a quello di quest’immagine: insomma, il punto focale può essere facilmente sostituito da un elemento simile senza intaccarne l’estetica dell’ingresso.

ENG. To make your entrance more interesting, I suggest you to choose one of these elements and make it stand out from the rest: in the image above for example the first thing that catches the eye is the round mirror with that thick black frame in contrasts with the light gray of the wall on which it is placed.

Certainly the lamps also play their role, recalling the frame color with the color of the edge of the lampshade and the reflecting effect of the mirror with the body of the lamp itself, but I personally believe that they have been chosen according to the mirror itself. The same is true for the chairs.

Why do I think so? Because if you replaced the mirror with a picture with a thick black frame, inside which is shown a black and white photo, without changing the other elements of the scene, you would have a result very similar to that of this image: in short, the focal point can be easily replaced by a similar element without affecting the aesthetics of the entrance.

ITA. In quest’immagine i colori usati per l’ingresso tendono ad essere colori scuri, per cui le lampade bianche saltano immediatamente all’occhio dell’osservatore.

Inoltre per rendere lo spazio più luminoso, le pareti retrostanti i tavoli-console sono stati decorati con dei vetri triangolari, creando un pattern particolare ed evitando anche il problema di dover ordinare uno specchio di grandi dimensioni, solitamente molto costosi e anche difficili da trasportare.

ENG. In this image the colors used for the entrance tend to have dark colors, so the white lamps immediately jump to the observer’s eye.

For make the space brighter the walls behind the consoles tables were decorated with triangular shaped glass, creating a particular pattern and avoiding the problem to order a large mirror, usually very expensive and also difficult to transport.

In quest’immagine invece voglio mostrarvi come sia possibile creare diversi punti focali semplicemente inserendo degli elementi colorati in un ambiente neutro: in questo caso i colori dell’ingresso sono il legno e il bianco, ma a saltare all’occhio sono le bottiglie azzurre poste sopra la mensola dell’appendiabiti.

ENG. In this image instead I want to show you how it is possible to create different focal points simply by inserting colored elements in a neutral environment: in this case, the colors used in the entrance are wood and white, but the focal point are the blue bottles placed above the hanger shelf.

ITA. In alternativa si possono usare le luci per creare un’atmosfera particolare e mettere in risalto alcuni elementi dell’ingresso: ad esempio, in questa foto è difficile dire quale ne sia il punto focale, eppure si può facilmente dire che sia un bell’ingresso. E che cos’è che lo rende esteticamente bello? Ebbene sì, sono le luci ai lati e sotto la seduta, che creano un contrasto visivo tra le zone in ombra e quelle illuminate, contrasto che viene evidenziato dalle scanalature del legno ai lati della seduta, mentre sulla seduta stessa sono riportati presumibilmente con un laminato dorato che simula le scanalature, in modo da dare un senso di continuità con il muro.

ENG. Alternatively, you can use the lights to create a special atmosphere and highlight some elements of the entrance: for example, in this photo it is difficult to say what is the focal point, but you can easily say that it is a nice entrance. And what is that makes it aesthetically beautiful? The lights on the sides and under the seat, which create a visual contrast between the shaded areas and the illuminated ones, contrast that is highlighted by the grooves of the wood on the sides of the seat, while on the same seat are presumably made with a laminate golden that simulates the grooves, to give a sense of continuity with the wall.

Infine si può scegliere invece di seguire la strada opposta, e non avere un punto focale: nella foto che vedete si è voluto scegliere uno stile minimalista, proponendo un lungo mobile con cassetti accanto alla porta d’ingresso, un mobile bianco su muro bianco, che contrasta con i colori scuri del grigio e della porta, ma che in sé non ha un elemento che attira l’attenzione.

Nel caso si cambiasse idea sarà poi sufficiente trovare uno specchio di grandi dimensioni o qualche quadro colorato da porre sul muro, o ancora appendere delle lampade, magari dorate o argentate, per la lunghezza del mobile, in modo da creare non solo degli elementi focali ma anche degli utili punti luce nell’ingresso.

ENG. You can choose instead to follow the opposite path, and not have a focal point: in the photo above the owner choose a minimalist style, that is proposing a long piece of furniture with drawers next to the front door, a white cabinet on a white wall, which contrasts with the dark colors of gray and the door, but which in itself does not have an element that attracts attention.

If you change your mind then it will be enough to find a large mirror or some colorful painting to put on the wall, or hang some lamps, maybe gold or silver, for the length of the piece of furniture, in order to create not only the focal elements but also some useful points of light in the entrance.
